What kind of slideshow do you have?

Main slide shows in Drupal 8 (as of July 18, 2019)

  • Views Slideshow

Module Overview and Download:

Mostly used, full screen slides may require modification of design templates (such as CSS) or additional modules.

You can use a slide show in the same way as pages and blocks in Views, so it is convenient. If you make additional settings in the content type, create pages as to which slide page or block to display when creating content pages. Because it can be set, it is efficient.

It is used when you want to control slides with Views, which are displayed on other pages or blocks rather than the top page.

  • Flex Slider

Module Overview and Download:

https://www.drupal.org/project/flexslider

Certainly in the Drupal version of the slider that is also in WordPress etc, you can easily set it.

Although it is German, you can see a sample of modifying the full screen with CSS in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuT1bWPkHYk.

It is recommended because it moves easily.

  • Nivo Slider

Module Overview and Download:https://www.drupal.org/project/nivo_slider

It is the same function as FlexSlider, Drupal version used for WordPress. It moves easily.

  • Slick Carousel

Module Overview and Download:

https://www.drupal.org/project/slick

It is a feature-rich, that supports the Paragraphs module is advanced, there are a lot of settings and modules, and it is recommended.

The reason for the extensibility is

Slick Views https://www.drupal.org/project/slick_views

Slick extras https://www.drupal.org/project/slick_extras

I think installation is easier than ViewsSlideshow.
